As I write this update, I am sitting in my parents’ house in Montana, prepping for my sister’s wedding on Saturday! So it’s kind of weird to be thinking back to my life in Budapest and everything that happened last month. It was a fun, eventful month and I can’t wait to see what happens next! I hope you enjoy!
FOUR MONTHS IN BUDAPEST: BY THE NUMBERS
TWO DAYS in Bratislava, Slovakia! Considering I had pretty much never heard of Bratislava before moving to Europe, it is quite the charming little city.
ONE DAY TRIP to the Hungarian city of Eger!
SO MANY glasses of wine in the Valley of Beautiful Women, the wine valley near Eger. The most delicious wine and oh-so-cheap!
A CUP OF COFFEE with a very wrong name.
TWO HOURS of the annual May first air show in Budapest.
MANY HOURS enjoying the spring time here in Budapest!
ONE CUTE art project with the students in honor of Mother’s Day…where most of them misunderstood the assignment and wrote my name instead of theirs! Ha!
THREE HOURS in Paris–just long enough, after waiting in line for most of the time in immigration, to buy some macarons!
TWENTY-SEVEN HOURS in transit from Budapest to Montana for my sister’s wedding, including one extra flight and stopover in Seattle than expected. But we made it! At least we were on Air France which is a pretty nice airline.
How was your month??
