Long before “selfie” was an actual word, taking photos of myself during my travels was a common occurrence. When you’re traveling alone or with just one other person, sometimes you just need a head in that beautiful view! Hence the need for the travel selfie.
Plus, PROOF.
- The Wine Selfie.
2. The I’m-Finally-at-Hogwarts Selfie. One of many taken that day (alongside many other teenagers, better prepared with selfie sticks).
3. The Kayaking Selfie. Not recommended for those suffering from butter fingers syndrome.
4. The Look-What-I’m-Eating Selfie. When taking a picture of what you’re eating is simply not enough–you need to show that YOU ate it.
5. The You-Take-Pictures-Too-Slowly Selfie. Impatience wins over proof sometimes.
6. The Trekking Selfie. To prove that I actually was in the jungle long enough to get muddy.
7. The We’re-on-a-Scooter Selfie. Not recommended for the driver.
8. The Back-of-Head-and-Vista Selfie. For when you want a pensive shot that includes the gorgeous view.

To be fair, Angelina deserves a plethora of selfies all on it’s own!

So true. And I took about a million of them haha ;).

Oh god, I remember the first time I actually heard someone use “selfie” — it was three years ago from a college kid. And I was like, please, please don’t let this catch on and become a real word. Alas, we’ll never get rid of it now! Cute photos though! I’m a fan of pensive #8s 🙂

I know, I remember thinking selfies were just a passing phase…but I don’t think so. I also thought the selfie sticks would just be a fad, too! Oh well, that’s life 😉

Haha love it. I have my go-pro stick which I refuse to call a selfie stick… same result though! 🙂

Haha E just got a stick for his go-pro too but insists it doesn’t count…I have to agree, because it’s for ADVENTURE right?! 😉
