Scotland enchanted me from the first glance. E had been there before me, and had talked it up so much, I was pretty scared I wouldn’t love it as much as he did. Luckily, he knows me well, and I was so happy I loved it too. Edinburgh is by the coast, it’s where Harry Potter was created, it has this gorgeous castle and fascinating Old Town…I don’t know why I was concerned (except that’s just me, baby).
Scotland is at the top of my “must-return” list, especially the rest of the country besides Edinburgh. We took a quick day trip to see Stirling Castle, Loch Lomond and taste some whisky, but I’d love to rent a car and roam the country to my heart’s content. There’s just something magical and mysterious about Scotland that I can’t wait to experience more.

Gorgeous photos! This would be the best place to take a roadtrip, for SURE. Or a place where I can backpack through for a few days in the summer. AH. Did you really buy some haggis?
Yes it would be a great place to backpack around in the summer, too! I think it’s a little hard to get around in the Highlands but not impossible, and Edinburgh is great for backpackers although pricey in August for the Fringe! I did try haggis, mostly because E, my fiancé, is OBSESSED with it haha. It tasted pretty good but I could not get over the texture!
Haha, it’s been on my list since my Scottish tour guides talked about how she did that with her brother. Although she did admit that it’d been one of the hardest things she’s done.
I definitely want to go around the Highlands! It’s too bad they’re difficult to get to, but I guess that’s part of their appeal, right? 🙂

Gorgeous pics! I need to get to Scotland one day…especially since I love me my Scotches! These pics remind me of our tour through Ireland a year ago…those green green fields
Yes I agree, it is similar to Ireland! Although not as green–is anywhere as green as Ireland? Ha :). You will love Scotland even more if you love scotch! It was fun tasting different varieties, as they vary region to region!
We need to retune to Scotland too, when should we go? haha.
