I am back from the mountains this week and I am still recovering from spending five days at English Camp with 42 eighteen-year-olds (all of them girls except one). I’ve also been training for my new, long-term job here in Prague. Since both E and I committed in August to the week-long camp, it was difficult to find any long-term jobs at the beginning of September as we had originally planned. However, I’m glad we waited, because we were both able to get jobs that were better than any of the offers we had to turn down before the camp. Plus, we certainly kept busy with temporary jobs! I’ll update more next week, but right now, I have one thing on the brain…
Our anniversary!
To celebrate, we are, what else??, traveling! I’m so excited to leave the Czech Republic and explore more of Europe. Even just for a weekend.
Follow me on Instagram (@amygreatworld) to see if you can guess where we are! Let the games begin.
But first, a little throwback.
E and I met in college when we were just 18. Babies! We started dating about a year after we met, but had a turbulent on-and-off relationship for most of our early twenties as we both traveled and dated around (hey, it happens when you’re young!). Four years ago, we got back together for keeps, moved to Denver together, moved in together, and now, we have moved overseas to the lovely Prague!
Then (when we first started dating):
and Now, eight years later:
Happy Anniversary, E! I am so grateful for everything that you are. I’m so happy we are following our dreams out in the wide world together. I wouldn’t have it any other way. XOXO.

Happy anniversary! I’m going to go ahead and guess Dresden as the place (out of the country) that you are going to….. amirite? 😉
AmyMacWorld says
Thanks! And close…same country ;). we went to Rothenburg ob der Tauber…a really cute town. I am anxious to visit Dresden, though!
Cynthia says
Ahhh Rothenburg! Such a wonderful place to spend an anniversary weekend. Looking forward to hearing about it.
How long did it take you from Prague to get there? (I know train connects around that region can be a bit sketchy….)
AmyMacWorld says
Yes it was the perfect choice! I can’t wait to share more :). It seemed complicated when we booked it, but it actually went well. It took us about four hours. We took a three-hour bus ride from Prague to Nuremberg, and took three different trains to Rothenbrug. Everything was on time and went smoothly, but a German on the train told us that the German train system is always smooth and efficient. I’m not sure if that’s true, but it felt like it on this trip!! Hope all is going well with you in the school year!

Haha right? It actually wasn’t so bad but it was TIRING. I think I was spared a lot of the drama as their first language is not English haha. And thank you! I like to think we are 😉
