1. This comic from a newly discovered artist, Gemma Correll, says it all:
2. Our oral thesis is next week (I’m pretty sure I already told you this) and I am in full freak-out mode. I’m also really tired. I’ve been making an effort to get a least seven hours of sleep a night, anyway. Did you know that you’re supposed to get between seven and nine hours a sleep each night to really be fully functional? I can’t even image getting nine hours…what a dream.
3. Does anyone know any good May blog challenges? I’m not sure I can post every day in May (homegirl needs a break…plus, it’s my last month of school…) but I loved the idea of having a theme each day, even if it was just a letter. Hit me up if you know of anything!
4. I can’t get enough of striped shirts. There’s a sale at the J. Crew Factory, and I was randomly shopping and adding things to my checkout (I’m not the only one that does this, right? I never buy it all but I need the option open, I guess). I noticed when I checked my cart that almost everything was striped. Or polka dotted. Stripes are just so classic and cute, don’t you think? I also think that the horizontal stripes making you look bigger is a total myth…but maybe I’m just in dreamland. This is the one that’s currently in my basket (love the zipper)…and it’s on sale!
5. I have a lot of drafts on my blog tackling really serious issues regarding everything from travel to poverty to education. I’m hesitant to post them, mostly because I just can’t word them exactly right. I think I’m also scared–once you put that stuff online, it never really goes away, and it’s always hard to express opinions that may not be popular and that may get you a lot of criticism. One of these days I might just post ’em…but I’ll make sure to bookend them with travel recaps and another selfie post…because I don’t want everything to get too serious around here. That’s just not how I roll.
Now, it’s your turn: update me!
This is letter U for the A to Z Challenge. Can you believe it’s already almost the end of April??

Welp, I’m officially envious of your jcrew purchases. If you wouldn’t mind shipping me over a pair I’d appreciate it!
Yes, I’d also recommend being cautious about those posts. Nothing wrong with little it brew for a bit. As you said, once it’s out there, it’s out there.
Happy weekend! I’m heading to Paris to see Justin Timberlake – woohoo!!
AmyMacWorld says
Oh man, that is amazing! Paris AND Justin Timberlake? Best time ever.
And, thanks for the tip on letting the posts brew…I think some of them I even write just for myself, even if I never post them, for therapeutic reasons. We’ll see what happens 🙂

You are cracking me up! Good luck on the orals!
AmyMacWorld says
Thank you! I’ll need it!
Kimbree Redburn says
Good Luck on your orals! You will do amazing! And I def think there is something therapeutic about writing it down, but you will know when to post and when not to post!
AmyMacWorld says
Thanks lady! I’m so happy it’s over 🙂

If you find a May Challenge, let me know. I’ve decided to just write about a new specific site I’ve visited with my kids – a new one every weekday. It’s nothing fancy, but I’ve been wanting to write it down and realize that I’m better at completing things when I have a challenge.
AmyMacWorld says
That’s a cool idea! I didn’t end up finding anything for May, after April I decided I needed a break from super consistent posting! Although I will be posting a lot anyway 🙂 a self-challenge is a great idea!
