It was a hard week. Really cold, endless classes (although I’m halfway through with the quarter!) and edgy conversations with everyone. It seems to be communal–a lot of controversies happened this week, along sad deaths and abuse allegations. And (although it’s obviously not as serious as all that other jazz) one of my favorite TV shows was canceled.
I’m certainly glad it’s over and I’m sure you are, too! How weird that I’m looking forward to a fresh start tomorrow, on a Monday?
I don’t know about you, but I needed a little bit of fun this weekend. I hosted a girl’s night on Friday, our dear friends invited us to a fondue night on Saturday, and I plan today to snuggle up with…homework.
Here are my links for today! Some of them are serious and detail the rough week, but some of them will make you smile, too. 🙂 Hope you had a great weekend!

+ As I mentioned, even for a winter lover, this week was hard. Here are 10 ideas to beat the winter blues.
+ I can’t believe the controversy surrounding this beautiful commercial. It makes me sad how far we still need to come from those who say it’s “un-American” when, in fact, everyone in the commercial is American. (And of course, there was this adorable one which you need to see if you haven’t!)
+ Speaking of controversy, I’m sure you’ve heard about J.K Rowling’s “regret” this week (my favorite commentary on this…and this one too!). However, as usual, the full article isn’t as black and white–it’s a good reminder not to take quotes out of context! I’m fully on the Ron-and-Hermione train (obviously), so I felt relief. End nerd rant.
+ Philip Seymour Hoffman’s sudden passing brings attention, once again, to addiction. I hope it brings new attention to mental health and addiction, too.
