I think it’s about time for an update around here, wouldn’t you agree?! Also my thoughts are just too scattered to write a thoughtful post so here we go stream of consciousness!
// At this moment…I am in Montana, back at my parents’ house, for the holiday season. I can’t even believe we are here–it is already below 0 degrees fahrenheit and snowy and I just love it. I am so ready for a white Christmas surrounded by family!
^^I don’t think my little Tess is loving this freezing weather as much as I am!
// I just realized my “Currently, November” post is on the very last day of November. Is tomorrow really December?! Could I have procrastinated this post any longer?!
// I think I am in the minority when I say that I LOVE WINTER. Prague just didn’t do winter the way Montana does, I am sorry (although Germany is probably the capital of Christmas). Don’t get me wrong, Prague had a lovely Christmas too–but no snow !!
// We spent a very lovely Thanksgiving with my in-laws in Washington. It was such a nice day that I was able to stick to my latest goal and not take ONE picture and was able fully enjoy the holiday. Although I did sneak onto to Instagram because…
// We got our wedding photos! I’m considering putting a few more on the blog–what do you think? Would you be interested or totally bored at seeing more wedding photos?! Here’s a few for good measure either way:
// Speaking of reminiscing, I couldn’t help but be so thankful for the amazing Thanksgiving we experienced last year in Prague. I expected it to be sad and lonely, far away from our families, but it was so wonderful–even if that Thanksgiving was celebrated on Saturday, not Thursday.
// It was so nice to return from Costa Rica to cool, fall weather and get a glimpse of a few die-hard leaves hanging on to their trees! The house was full of pumpkins (leftover from our wedding!) and it made up for missing most of autumn.
// I can’t believe our six weeks in Central America (that ended up being mostly in Costa Rica) are finished. I have so much more to share with you all, although I really didn’t take that many pictures. As it was our honeymoon, we were really focused on vacationing from everything, including taking pictures of things like my food. Of course, it’s me, so I definitely still have some to share, never fear!
// My computer is finalllllly fixed! It broke the very first day in Costa Rica (I know) and although we attempted to get it fixed in San Jose, it would have ruined some travel plans and been very expensive and really, the language barrier was enough that we weren’t entirely sure where they wanted to ship it off too. We also went to a total of FIVE different stores trying to understand what was happening, but every time they either sent us to a different location or took my computer away through a mysterious back door for a random amount of time, then came out shaking their heads and shrugging their shoulders. But, after less than a week in America, it’s fixed, for a decent price! Sometimes the efficient and fast America just rocks.
// I have some BIG NEWS that I’m hoping to share with you on the blog in the next few weeks or so. Maybe even as soon as by the end of next week! Spoiler: it involves travel! Any guesses?!
Are you ready for December?!
Nicole @ Treasure Tromp says
wait – below 0 degrees? I cannot even imagine that. And YES to wedding photos!
AmyMacWorld says
Yes it was SO cold when we arrived. My mother-in-law from Seattle had never been in such cold temps! Lol. And I will definitely share some wedding pictures and recaps, maybe!

Yay on being home for the holidays! I think your plan of little pictures and just enjoying your honeymoon is excellent! Love the wedding photos!
AmyMacWorld says
It’s so nice after being away last Christmas (and the one or two before). It was nice to take a break from being a blogger–sometimes it gets so tiring making sure you get really good pictures. At least for me 🙂
Isabel @ TheSunnySideofThis says
Oh you look so cozy there!! Glad to hear about your computer! Can’t wait to see more blogposts about your recent travels! xx
AmyMacWorld says
The coziest! It’s kind of annoying how reliant we are on our computers/technology. Because they do break! Luckily all is good now 🙂 Thanks for the comment 🙂 xo

Oooh what a tease, can’t wait to find out about the big news 🙂 I’m definitely pro-wedding photos! And love that you are enjoying being back into autumn/winter and with your families so much.
AmyMacWorld says
Haha I know, I feel like such a jerk blogger, making a vague announcement about a future announcement :). I am so excited and would love to share more but it might fall through still!! Love your news about going home for the holidays!
Yalanda_Meshell says
Yes! Share wedding photos! I’m guessing (or maybe just hoping) that you’re coming to spend a year teaching in South Korea;)
AmyMacWorld says
yay! I will share wedding photos! And sadly I am not coming to South Korea…but I will be a bit closer I think ;). I would love to teach there but E is no longer teaching but working online and it was hard to find a job where I could just bring him along without him teaching. But maybe you’ve heard of teachers doing that there??
Myra Mains says
Would LOVE to see more wedding photos!
AmyMacWorld says
Yay! I will definitely share more then 🙂

Thanks, Ashley! 🙂

What ever you do, I’m sure it will be exciting!!!! But yes, two teachers at my school actually brought their husbands and they work from home. Most schools don’t mind sponsoring visas for a spouse (at least here I think). Can’t wait to find out what’s up next for you two!
AmyMacWorld says
Wow my research in that area let me down!! I read that most schools wouldn’t sponsor a spouse if the teacher wasn’t licensed in their home country (I only have a TEFL cert). But if you know otherwise I might have to look more into Korea…next! 😉
Camila @ AdventitiousViolet says
Awwww are you moving again??? Can’t wait to hear the big news! And by the way I totally get it – to me Christmas in Britain just isn’t the same, I need me a good metre of snow to feel in the spirit of things haha
AmyMacWorld says
It just doesn’t feel like Christmas without snow!! And yes, to Budapest 🙂
