Seven months! Say what?! Time is flying by! February especially–but I suppose because it is the shortest month, after all.
The seventh month in Prague was mostly full of work, work, work, but with a little travel and some big news at the end of it! 🙂
SEVEN MONTHS IN PRAGUE: BY THE NUMBERS
FIFTEEN books read. I’ve been a reading fiend this month! I mean, I usually I am–I make time to read every single day–but this month I especially zoomed through my books.
ONE EVENING blate with Jamie and her Van! We had so much fun trying to new beers with them, and visiting a new-to-us restaurant. Their total love of Prague inspires us to appreciate our host city a little bit more :). Make sure to follow Jamie at Gunters Abroad–I love her blog and I know you will, too! Thanks for a great night, Jamie and Van! Unfortunately these were the only two pictures I took…#bloggerfail.
^^Van is skeptical of this drink. It was a strong one! ^^Jamie looking totally cute…and Prague doesn’t look too bad, either! 😉
TWO HOURS at a new favorite brunch spot in Prague–Cafe Lounge!
ONE BOUQUETÂ of these lovely roses to celebrate Valentine’s Day! I’m so glad to see flowers around.
SEVERAL SATURDAY NIGHTS spent trying new beer. Gotta love pivo!
ONEÂ WEEKÂ of a much-needed Spring Break.
FOUR DAYSÂ in the most magical of all cities, Venice.
SEVEN HOURS cruising to the islands Burano and Murano in the Venetian Lagoon.
THREE SLICESÂ of the most amazing pizza I’ve ever had, from Antico Forno in Venice.
MANY HOURS wandering around the bewitching alleyways of Venice.
TOO MANY scoops of gelato to count.
TWENTY MINUTES on top of St. Mark’s Campanile for these amazing views.
ONE FANTASTIC NIGHTÂ that ended in our engagement! So, pretty much the best night ever. We are on cloud nine!
SO MUCH prosecco to celebrate! When in Italy…
HOURS of time on Skype/Facetime telling our friends and family the good news.
TEN MINUTES of thinking about wedding planning and I’m already tapped out. Can I just have a honeymoon that happens to include all of my friends and family? I’m so much better at planning travel…

Congratulations!!!! Venice seems like a very romantic place to become engaged! And whew, good choice… it looks gorgeous there. It is absolutely at the TOP of my list to go to before I leave the European continent “for good”. As for wedidng planning, leave it for another day and enjoy that “just engaged” feeling 😉

Thanks, Cynthia! 🙂 I’m pretty excited about it, and it was a great place to get engaged. Just to be really, because Venice is amazing! You MUST go. Especially NOT in the summer haha–there were already crowds in March! We have been basking in the engagement feeling all week and I’m trying to be chill about the wedding planning…but my mom emails once a day with a million questions haha!

Happy engagement. Whoa sounds like you’ve had quite a jam packing & thrilling time. The water in Venice is gorgeous.

Awww how wonderful! Congratulations 🙂 I’ve found wedding planning fun in the end, even though it feels daunting. But I’m all about the honeymoon too 😉 hehehe.
Also, I admire your fifteen books read – so amazing!

Thanks, Marcella! I’m glad to hear that you’re enjoying the planning. I admit I love to think about things but I don’t like making the decisions! We’ve been looking at places all over the world and mostly I just can’t believe how much it costs for a wedding! yuck!

It was actually a great month, although I didn’t fully appreciate it at the time 🙂 You guys have to go to Venice and get that pizza! I can’t even talk about it right now it’s so delicious!! Great meeting you two again, hope all is well!!

Love this post! And your last comment….sounds like you might just want a destination wedding! Then, you will get to see all your friends & family while traveling. I wouldn’t mind that, thats for sure!
AmyMacWorld says
Thanks, Samantha! 🙂 I admit I would LOVE a destination wedding but I’m not sure most of my friends and family would/could make it, depending on where it is. Half of E’s family doesn’t even have passports! maybe Hawaii but we’ll see. Any ideas? 😉
Kerri says
What a month! Congrats again, just because! I hear you on the wedding planning, I can’t imagine the effort it is to plan… I’ll just take the holiday I think!
AmyMacWorld says
Yes that might be what I do! We shall see. And thanks so much 🙂
